Welcome To The Probus Club of West Pennant Hills and District

President's Message
Welcome to the website of the West Pennant Hills & District Probus Club.
Our club was formed in 2016 and is therefore a relatively new club in the Probus community. We are a mixed club made up of around 110 members drawn from the Hills District of Sydney. We try to keep a balanced gender mix and to provide a variety of activities for our members.
We hold a meeting the 4th Wednesday of the month at the Cherrybrook Community & Cultural Centre meeting at 10 for a 10.30 start. As well as brief reports from the Management Committee and the Activity leaders we also have a Guest Speaker who is always interesting and informative.
Probus is all about Fun, Friendship and Fellowship for those who are semi-retired or recently retired. We have around 18 activity groups providing a wide variety of activities for our members. We cater for the more active members with activities such as cycling, bush walking, golf, tennis, photography, ten pin bowling, Mens group and a garden club. For the more relaxed members we have a card group, book clubs, movie and theatre groups. Each month we arrange day trips, dining out evenings, wine and cheese evenings, and other gatherings to allow our members to meet and socialise regularly. We also try to arrange at least one extended trip within Australia or overseas each year, Covid permitting.
Whatever activity is available, Fun, Friendship and Fellowship are at the core of our club.
You can find information on the activity groups on this website together with more information on the Club including the date, time and venue of our monthly Members’ Meetings.
Our membership is kept at a reasonably small number to better promote comradery and fellowship within the club. At present membership is closed, and we are not accepting new membership applications. However, in this website is a link to the Probus South Pacific website where you can find more information about other Probus clubs in our area or register your interest in joining new clubs that are forming.
